    VBA Won't Start

When I click an event procedure in the properties window to modify the code for an (any) object Access stops responding and then gives me an error message that it will close. I've tried to compact and repair.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate MS Access 2010

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Try decompiling your db. See this:

A quick side note about this that may help others:
I had created a very simple database to keep track of daily blood pressure tests done at home. I ran the /decompile switch and opened the program. There were no VBA events to open and recompile because I had only created buttons for the form using the button wizard so the only events were embedded macros.

I simply closed the program and reopened it and was able to open an on load event for form that would not open previously and would force Access to close.

    Hope this might help.
