I know that some functionality is lost when converting to older versions of access, how about newer versions? Is there anything I should know?

I offered comments in a thread some months ago I can no longer find that I was not particularly impressed with 2010. I was able to get it cheap (almost free because of employer deal with MS) to test at home. If I had to pay full price wouldn't buy it to upgrade from 2007.
I recently discovered one improvement that I appreciate. Can now have more than 3 conditions in Conditional Formatting - up to 50. I have made use of this instead of VBA code to color code textboxes on report.

thanks for the info and link.
Me, personally, I would skip 2007 and go straight to 2010 since we have 2003 here at work. 2010 fixed some annoyances that 2007 had, including giving a user interface for working with the existing Ribbons where you had to do everything yourself in a custom Ribbon if you wanted to modify anything from the original system Ribbon.
And I also like the 50 conditions for Conditional Formatting. And I like Data Macros and I like the Intellisense in Queries and Control Sources. So, me - I would much rather have 2010 than 2007.
Two things I find quite annoying about 2010, at least I experience them on my home laptap.
1. Double click to open objects from navigation pane wouldn't work, had to set for single click. Maybe I just can't click fast enough in 2010. This was never an issue in 2007.
2. In trying to rename an object in navigation pane, if I leave the mouse cursor hovering overing the item, the edit cursor won't stay in the name box. I have to right click and quickly move the mouse so cursor is not over the pane. Because of the single click setting, can't click to the position I want to change.

I haven't noticed that probably because I had single click on anyway.
That is a bug with the specific view (can't remember which off hand) but if you change to a different view in the Nav Pane, it doesn't do it. Access 2007 did that too and there was a fix that came out in SP1 or SP2 (which also fixed the Missing Description part when in detail view). I wasn't aware that it also existed in 2010. I'll need to go look at that.2. In trying to rename an object in navigation pane, if I leave the mouse cursor hovering overing the item, the edit cursor won't stay in the name box. I always set pane to All Access Objects and List view. Never encountered problem in 2007. I will have to check this again in 2010 version.
