I told a company I am interviewing with that I was a little better with Microsoft Access than I actually am in hopes of a greater chance in landing the position. If offered the position, I was thinking I would learn what there is to know from the time of the offer to the start date. In the next interview, they are going to ask me more specific questions about advanced spreadsheets and databases. Do you know the names of any advanced spreadsheets that I could say I have used?

    Lol,

I would suggest you buy Access and Excel "for dummies"

how about going into an interview with a truthful mindset?? Why would I answer that?? If that's what you're doing, you have no chance of landing the job anyway. Unless the interviewer is not good at reading people, which I've actually never seen, but you might get lucky.

    good luck to ya, bud.
