When I first started using Access, 9 months ago, I set out a form that would use data from a two-table query and, if I filled in the badge "number" (a series of letters) would fill in such data as was available from Table 1 on that person.
I THINK it is a one-to-many query, and I use it to fill in records in Table 2, which are multiple, and link them through the badge to Table 1[Badge].
Somehow, though, when I fill in the badge as I used to, I no longer get the basic info filled in. And, I can no longer fill in information in Table 2.
1. I don't even know how I induced the table to cleverly show me info on an individual by filling in badge no. At any rate it doesn't do that now. How do you do that?
2. I don't know what I changed;
3. I'm unsure whether it really is a one-to-many relation, and can't find where that would be set. Right-clicking on the link shows me "Join Properties", which I gotta believe aren't the same as setting the relation, but can't find any thing else.
If anyone can shed light, I'd appreciate it.
Don. In case you hadn't guessed, I'm self-taught on an ad-hoc basis. Not brilliant.
