Open form with matching ID Number

    Hi

I'm really struggling here, and would really appreciate any help!!

    Here's my theory
I have a form that has a unbound text box named txtID. Users can then enter an ID number in to here, and press "Search". What i then want this to do is if the ID number matches a number in my database it opens up the record as another form (frmMainForm).

    At present
I have managed to get my button to open the form, however, i cannot get it to open at the correct record. It eithers opens at the first record or it opens at a new record.

How can i get it to link the ID numbers, and only pull up that form??

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Taaaaa
