    auto replace??

I have a database that feeds information to forms that we use a lot. Some of the entries are pretty long, and we don't get them until the last minute. What I'm trying to do is make it so that I can enter a portion or predetermined text and it automatically replaces what I put in with the full entry.

    ex:

    03 0001 IN 3D BDE REPL (WACV1A)

I would like to set it up so that I just enter the last part; WACV1A, and it replaces that with the entry above. I've made another database with nothing but entries like the one above. In all honesty, I'm not even sure if what I'm trying to do is possible or not. I hope it is since this will save me some time.

This entry is also one that feeds to my form, so it would have to show the full entry on the form, not the short one. Don't know if that matters or not.

I'm not sure that this is the right category to post this in, but I don't really know where it would go.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

I am sure you are talking about "lookup table".
