Hi, I tried to send you the db but unfortunately it`s too big 5MB. I could email you it. This is my email address yhennous@gmail.com
if you email me then I wil reply .
Thanks
What form are you having trouble with? The one with focus, "Query Childrens DVDs2", is saving fine.
Hi Paul,
I will get the teacher to show me the db, as I did it from home last night and I only guest it was the right student file, sorry about that. I will get in touch asap.
Thanks a lot.
Both forms in the new database you emailed also save data back to the tables just fine.
Hi Paul,
Could it be that the student not saving when prompted to do so, or does it save data on the form automatically? I will try to replicate the problem with one of the students and get back to you.
Thanks again for looking into this.
Youssef
The data will save automatically, as long as the user fills out any required fields.
Hi Paul, sorry for taking long to get back to you. I have spoken to the teacher and now she said that when the database is run from a memory stick it saves, but not when from the user's home folder on the network. This issue is only happening for a few users; would it be possible something is getting blocked on the network and if it is could you think what it could be in access?
Thanks for all your help.
The user would need read/write permissions on the folder containing the file. If they don't, Access can't create the ldb file and the data will be read-only.
