    database sudden change to huge size

    my access database jobs.accdb normally is 40MB size.
    don't know why its size change over 500MB.
    when run the database, always show NOT RESPONDING, but it is not hang, it still show data after waiting 10-20 seconds.
    what's its problem? how can I fix it?

    Not a lot to go on.

    Are the tables full of junk or duplicate data? Maybe some insert code got stuck in a loop?

    Are you using blobs or attachments or something?

    all the data is stored in SQL server.

    Have you tried compacting it? Do you have any start-up code in an Autoexec macro or start-up form?
