Access Form "chart" display more than 10 decimals in data labels

    Hello:

While I frequently use "charts" in MS-Excel (which are easy to create/update), I have never had the need to use charts in MS-Access. At this point in time, however, I need to include charts in some Access forms.

In the attached DB (sample data only) I cannot seem to locate the property for **setting decimals**. While it is easy in a table or query (or even report), it is NOT readily available -- in my view -- in an Access form.

Again, in the attached DB, you'll notice that the bar chart displays more than 10 decimals (based on this query criteria). Also, please find attached PPT which further provides illustration/information as to where I set the format in my underlying query.

Kindly appreciate any information as to how/where I need to modify XYZ properties so that the bar chart will only display two (2) decimals (for any query criteria).

    Thank you,
    Tom

Ranman256 -- I fail to see that property in the chart option.

Kindly request to post a JPG where to locate it. Thank you.

Format property is a display setting - does not change data. The setting does not carry over to chart. Change data with Round() function calc in query.

Why would you say not readily available on form? On a form or report, Format property is on textbox. However, calculations still use the actual value. Whether formatted on table/query/form, click into field or control and view the actual value.

Is this a Modern Chart? I don't see any chart in the db.

    June7:

Applying the ROUND function did the trick! Awesome.

Hmh, not sure as to why the chart/graph didn't display in the db. I downloaded my original file (post 1) again and it shown in the form. I use Access 2019.

Anyhow, wrt to the decimal problem, it has been solved. Pls see attached JPG (before and after).

    Thank you for the solution.

Probably because I have Access 2010 and cannot work with ModernChart. I am surprised the db would even open for me.
