    Access Web page crashing IE8

    Hi Folks,

I'm using Access 2002 to manage a small amount of data for a small business. I have someone who will be working outside of the office and I need to give them access to a limited amount of data.

I've used the wizard to create a data access page in the past and can't recall any problems, although it was years ago.

This time around, everything works fine until I try to open the page in IE8 and it crashes each and every time. It first gives me a popup to run a script/active. It then gives me a "internet explorer caused a problem and needs to close" error.

It works fine if I view the page from access.

I've tried it on 2 machines with the same results.

It does show the fields in the query (with no data) before it prompts to ok the activex/script content.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Matt

I have those problems just using IE8 as a browser where I did not have those issues with IE7. How about dropping back to IE7?

Thanks for the tip. I tried dropping back to IE7 on my laptop and still had the same results.

Hmm...well that's the sum total of my suggestions. I've never played with DAP's so sorry.
