    Help! Replica Set Error/Message?

    Hello!

I just started getting the following message when I open my Access (2010) database at work:

"This member of the replica set will expire in days because it has not been synchronized with another member of the replica set. If the member is allowed to expire, it can no longer be synchronized with any other member of the replica set. You should synchronize this member with another member ASAP. To synchronize, on the Database Tools Tab group click Replication Options & then click Synchronize Now.

I am the only person in this small office with this Access database on their computer. I use the database daily, so if letting this expire will cause issues, I want to take care of ASAP! Thanks everyone!

I don't even see a "Replication Options" button on my Access 2010. Do you?

replicas were a feature of 2003 and earlier. So suspect you have a .mdb, not a .accdb. Somewhere there should be a master from which the replica was generated.

You can convert a replica into a new master, but don't think that can be done from 2010, you'll need 2003. You could try updating the replica to .accdb

Have you tried following the prompt and syncing?

I do! It's under my "database tools" menu

I attached screenshots of what I see. If I do go to the "Synchronize Now" option, it brings up the second screenshot, but there is nothing in the drop down box for me to select. Screenshot.zipScreenshot.zip

I had to manually add Replication Options and Switchboard Manager to a custom group tab.

As Ajax said, must be opening an old mdb. Maybe convert to accdb as suggested.
