Sorry, forget to add more details to the first post.
Alright. I added both screen shots to one picture. The red line separates each. The top snapshot is my form in design view, the bottom is in normal view. The form is set showing the input form area at the very top of the screen and then the table on the bottom of the form screen.
As you can see on the top part (input part) during the design view, all of the fields on the left are shifted over and off of the screen, yet when in design and layout view they are shifted more to the right. Anytime I go to adding more fields, then field/text boxes shrink or they completely disappear. Has anyone else had problems like this?
I'm sure you all will recommend not using the table at the bottom, but for this particular form I believe it would be very useful to have both.
hello mr. NBA star. =) how are you?
I've had this problem numerous times, and everytime it's happened to me it had something to do with these:
- moveable
- autoresize
- borderstyle
and a couple other ones I can't think right now. Might want to start with those. The other problem you might have is using tabbed forms like that. a lot of properties, including those in that list above, don't even apply with a tabbed form.
You can get around this, and use both tabbed and non-tabbed forms by setting the 'popup' property to YES on forms you don't want tabbed, but keep the setting to "tabbed documents" in the option. That'll give you the cake and eat it too.
some food for thought...
Hey Adam, doing pretty good. How about yourself?
I decided to ditch the top part. I'm just going to add a button that will direct the user to a report instead. Thanks for the help.
I don't blame you sir. If you stick with me, you'll eventually learn theory that you dont' care about.![]()
