I feel I am unable to explain
Perhaps you could describe what you are trying to accomplish in plain English--no data base jargon.

There is an old saying--if you can't describe it, no one can build it.
If you were to task someone to build this database, what exactly would you tell them regarding the requirement?

    Is this a typo?

    Your form names are confusing.
    -tblSaleDetailsubform
    -tblSale

    Good luck.

    Dear Sir,

Please, I request you to download DB (cascading combox V2) and open the form tblSale. After That in its subform (tblSaleDetailsubform - which is in Datasheet View) just try changing the value of Product Desc from drop down list and notice what happens to Item Column. And you will come to know the problem I am facing.

Hope you notice the problem I am facing.

    Thanks and Regards

    Deepak,

Why would you be changing the Product Description on a Sale or any other?

My suspicion is that your relationships may be incorrect in that they do not support your business rule(s).
But I don't know your business and you seem hesitant to describe it in simple English.

Too many jump into physical Access and discover an issue with table/relationship design. It can be very difficult to modify/work around a design issue within a physical database.

There may be options/alternative implementations to a designed logical solution. However, readers need to understand the requirement in simple English to offer more focused advice.

I don't understand your form's purpose nor naming convention.

What do you want to happen if/when you change Product Description?

    Good luck.

    Dear Orange,

Thanks for your message and concern.

Yes, I have been able to find a solution but it also has it's own type of flaws. The problem was with Data Sheet view, after reading on the web found out that cascading combo box is not best suited for Datasheet view. There is a work around with continuous form. But it has it's own set of problems. I tried converting to Continuous form and with help of super imposed text box problem is taken care of, but now I have another problem arising out of it, probably limitation of continuous form.

I have designed the continuous form in such a way that it give a look of datasheet, but unlinke Datasheet view when tab is pressed in a record with null value for all the columns it jumps out of the subform and goes to main form or new record for main form, but here it just keeps going in endless loop to the same blank record. Any help or guidance to this would be really great.

I have already posted another thread regarding this error and waiting for help.
    Thanks and Regards
    Deepak Gupta

    Deepak,

Glad you have made some progress.
If you are dealing with the same underlying issue, there is no need to change threads.
However, if it is a related issue, if you link to this thread it may help readers with context.

As is often the case, the best way to get focused, meaningful answers is to ask a clear, complete question in simple terms.
    Good luck with your project.
