    Access subform list

    Hi all,

Still new to access. I have a subform (with tabs) and a linked table in that which I can add records to, (attendees) like name and company, but I want this to work more like a blank list of 10 fields that I could write to, either 1 name or 5, or 10, depending on the meeting. Can this be done rather than having the actual table link that I have now and still update the table (attendees)? it just looks messy with the navigation bars withing the subform tab.

    Thanks!

you can hide the subform navigation bar, record selectors and if required the scrollbars

Often 'list type' subforms are in datasheet view which if all you are doing is selecting names seems the way to go

Thanks for the reply, it is a subform/subreport with a table as the source, that a user directly enters data into, so how do I hide the table nav bars? Can I upload a screenshot?

    Thanks

Thanks for the effort, I really appreciate it, there is not option. odd. I will get a screen of it. Maybe because it is a table not a form?

To get rid of those things - look under Record Selectors and Navigation something, turn them off and the form will look a lot cleaner.

To have a set of fields to enter as many names as you want, make sure that the subform is Continuous (Cycle All Records). Keep the table linked in and remove/hide (Visible=No) key fields. You can change the design in multiple ways to make it look like a list.

as you say - it is a table - the navigation bar etc cannot be removed.

If you create a datasheet form based on the table you can hide the navigation bar but not record selectors or scroll bars. Create a continuous form (also called multiple items form) you can hide these as well
