Need help removing duplicate entries in a sub-form

    Hello fellow Access users,
    {In reference to the following database: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resi...int=file%2czip}

At one stage I had each record in my sub-form grouped together under a single field called:
    Item_Name

However, for some strange reason which I can't figure out all the field values have split, creating multiple records and duplicate data.

Would someone kindly lend a hand, and let me know how to remove the duplicate entries in:
    Frm_Outcome_1 with sub-form called Frm_Outcome_1_Subform.

On the same note, if you have any other suggestions that would be greatly appreciated. I am a rookie at this.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello ranman,
I'm not too sure how to in some of my queries, the database throws up errors when trying to group fields which contain a list of values.

I'm not sure of your set up. A quick look suggests you are using the same query(Query_Outcome_l) as data source for mainform and subform???
I see no linkages between main and subform.
I would not use the Transaction nor menu as you have done. (It may be correct, but I can't tell ---need more details of the business).
I would have an OrderDetail and Product/Item table.

You really need to tell us about the business. Analyze the processes until you are sure of the entities/tables and relationships. Build a model (pencil and paper) and test it. Once done, you have a blueprint for your database design.

My guess is you have jumped into Access without thorough analysis and some testing of your evolving structure.
Note, that is just my gut feeling based on what I'm seeing. And I may be way off.

It looks like you have spent time with your table design, but there is no supporting info to judge whether your model reflects/supports your business or not.

    Good luck with your project.

Finally found a solution for my problem.

Though I have to ask why can't I enter criteria into field expressions for Item_Ingredients which has multiple values and is a combo box grouped under Item_Name?

PS: This is a school project, not business. I have made a SDLC document.
