    date/time field scroll bars

    Hi

thought I'd asked before but clearly didn't

Have a form with a date/time field that is populated via a query.

When I open the form the date/time field has "a mini scroll bar" to the right looks like <> but rotated 90 degrees.

Is this actually a scroll bar and is there a way to turn it off?

    thanks

    Ian

Never noticed it before but i was able to recreate what i think you are talking about. in the text box format property about half way down is "scroll bars". when i changed it from none which is what i normally have to vertical i get what you are describing. hope this helps

    scroll bar

    Hi

thanks for the thought but my issue is not with a text box it's with a date/time field - I've attached a screen capture.

Can't see anything in properties to turn it off and a googel search tells me nothing.

I suspect I'm calling them scroll bars and they are some thing else.

    cheers

suspect you have set the form control to be a listbox or combobox - if so, change to textbox.

suspect you are using lookups in your table design which is why you have the problem

    Hi

thanks for that I'll take a look but I am certain that I have not set the date/time field to be a combo or list box, my learning curve has not as yet reached that point

Fairly sure I have not I have also not used lookups in my tables.

I'll try changing the date/time to a text box

    thanks

    Ian
