Shared Images via Control/VBA

Hello all!



So I'm setting up a configuration/installer for my database, and one of the items I'd like to put on it is the ability to manage the 2 shared images (company logo, main menu banner) from controls on this configuration page. I want them here so that even a non-skilled access user will be able to setup a working copy of the database. However, I'm having trouble sorting out exactly how I can go about doing that. I don't want to link directly to the resources table if possible as that probably wouldn't be an ideal situation.

Any suggestions/ideas are appreciated!

Don't know what you mean by 'manage' the images. Exactly what do you want the user to be able to do?

I want them to be able to update shared images without having to go into a Form Design view to get to them.

Resources table is one of the hidden system tables that holds all the shared images.

An Image Control has a ControlSource property. This property can be bound to an attachment field in a table or can be a path string to an external image file. The path can be stored in a text field and the ControlSource bound to that field. The property can be set by code.

So the 'shared' images can be in a table you build or can be in a shared folder location.
