hello,



I'm having problems using calculated field to add up columns within the same table. It seems to work with some fields but not all even though they have the same setting.

The overall reporting is quite complex of what im trying to achieve so if someone can help i would be very grateful. I tried uploading my database and report requirements here but it wont allow them.

Please help

Hi

There is a limit to the size of the file you can upload, can you zip it up?
Also are you sure that a calculated field is the best option, could you use an aggregate function in a query instead?

Thanks for the reply, sorry been away.
I tried zipping but it still wouldn't let me upload it.

However trying something else now but cannot seem to get the relationship set-up within the tables, the relationship option is just grayed out completely?

And for ref how would i go about creating an aggregate function in a query?

Hi, i have managed to get the database uploaded for you to look at, you will probably tell me there's alot wrong with it

The formula im trying to put in is:
1. All Injury Frequency Rate (AIFR)

the equation is (Total Number of Injuries × 1,000,000 )/(Number of hours worked by all employees)

‘Total Number of Injuries’ is made up of the sum of the following criteria:
- Number of fatalities
- Number of First Aid Cases (FACs)
- Number of Medical Treatment Cases (MTCs)
- Number of Restricted Work Cases (RWCs)
- Number of Lost Time Incidents (LTIs)
