From subform to subform

I have 3 linked forms: a parent form, subform1 and subform2. In subform1 I only need to enter 1 record then jump to subform2 and enter many records. How can I get it to automatically tab from the last field in subform1 to the first field in subform2?

Try just setting the subform1 Cycle property to current record. Then set the TabOrder property of each control so that subform2 follows the last control of subform1

Hi June7, and Thanks! but; it didn't work. subform1 just recycles back to it's first field rather than jump over to subform2. Any other suggestions?

Perhaps VBA in the subforms' modules could use fully qualified names and the GotoRecord method.

Interesting, I tested with my db and it worked. If you want to provide db for analysis, I will review and try to figure out why it failed for you. Follow instructions at bottom of my post.

Alternative is VBA code, possibly in the last control LostFocus or Exit events to set focus to subform2. That also worked for me.

Thanks! I got it to work. I HAD it where subform1 and subform2 were subs to the parent. Now I have it where there is a parent then subform1, then subform2 is a sub of subform1 (a sub of a sub). It works this way. Thanks for the help!
