Two Sub Reports One won't show

I have a main report with two sub reports. The main is basic company information with an invoice no. The first sub report is the Invoice detail and the second subreport (based on a query) shows the total outstanding amount for the company. This second subreport is not showing. The fields are linked and the visible property is set to true. I have tried putting it in the detail section and the companyid footer and cannot get it to show in Print Preview. (It does show in Report View but the report will never open in that view).

    Any ideas are appreciated, Tina

I think there is an "allow grow" (and "allow shrink") property you should double-check is set to yes. This can be found by right-clicking on the subreport in the main report design (I think it's somewhere in the properties of the sub-report).

You may want to double-check to make sure your sub-report is returning records by running the query itself directly. You can also try removing the sub report from the main report and then re-insert it. You can also try changing the border of the sub report to a thick black or something to double-check where it's actually showing on the main report even if it's not returning records. You may also want to see if the sizing of the first sub-report is somehow 'over-lapping' the top of the 2nd sub report. I would try creating a new main report and then copy all the fields/subreports into it. It's been a while since I've had to create any MSAccess reports so I'm probably missing a few things to check.

These options did not help. Thank you for trying.
