I am helping a local charity with some Access issues. I have a lot of IT experience but only a small amount of Access experience. The first step to upgrading their system is to migrate what they already have from 2003 to 2010. They have a small networked system.
I have looked around the internet and in books to find out what is involved in the migration without any success.
I should really appreciate it if anyone out there could advise me about the process.
My thinking is that I should create a backup on their existing system (2003). I could then copy this to my laptop on which I have 2010. I am hoping that I can then use this to open the backup to create a version in 2010.
Am I being naive/too simplistic ?
Any help you can offer would be very much appreciated.
