Locking settings are NOT WORKING - Shared Database

    Hi,

I am building a shard database, and i have enabled the Default locking settings to "Edited" as seen in the link below:

however two people can still edit one record at the same time.

can any help me with this matter, i want the record to lock once s1 user starts using it and unlock when they move to a new record.

Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Mark

By 'shared' you mean the db is split?

I have a split db with multiple users. Never paid any attention to this and my setting is No Locks. However, it is unlikely multiple users will try to edit same record in this db.

From what I have read, the Edited Record setting should accomplish that so don't know what is wrong.

Not sure this has bearing but each form has a RecordLock property.
