Hi guys,
How easy would this design be to implement?
I'm reasonably new to access 2010 but slowly learning and would like to be able to design the following and was wondering if it was A, possible.. and B, reasonably easy to do.
I have circuit boards of type A, B, C etc. Each board has parts Alpha, Beta, Charlie etc. Each part has locations C1, C2, C3, R1, R2, IC1, IC2 etc, and each part has x amount of joints (ie: Alpha would have 2 joints). This data needs to be stored within the database. Ideally showing total amount of joints per board.
I then would like to be able to enter a list of defects for a particular board type (ie; unsoldered joints, missing parts) and the location of the fault (C21, R312), and at the end be able to report total defects and number of joints affected, possibly even be able to interrogate the DB to show top faults, or the locations mostly affected.
Is this possible? And if so, what level of expertise is required for a design such as this? Just wondered if it's worth pursuing before I waste hours and then realise its not possible.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Many thanks peeps.![]()
