Hello,
I am hoping someone might be able to help. I used to run Access 2003 package as part of Office 2003 Professional on a system that was running Windows XP 32-Bit Home Edition with service pack 3.
I am not proficient with Visual Basic or SQL. I rely more or less on the gui interface for the design part of a database.
I recently bought Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit Retail version (and added Service Pack 1) and installed teh orginal version of office on the same machine except the OS is operating off an SSD.
I copied the Data Sources folder from My Documents in windows xp folder to the my documents folder in my windows 7 set up.
I can get the information of the various tables in the database to handshake with the data access pages I have drawn up. That is not the problem. These work fine. The data access pages are abel to scroll through the various records and most of the information can be changed.
The issue that I have is that if I try to type information into any date field on a data access page that is after the date of 30-Dec-99 then it defaults back to the 30-Dec-99.
I should also point out if I add the information to a tabel instead of a data access page that links back to the table then the date records correctly. The database and access pages also used to work quite happily before I changed everything over to teh new operating system.
Has anyone any suggestion as to what might be the issue and how it may be resolved?
Many Thanks
Stephen
