Acrobat Object not working on live network

    Hello,

I have a button that is use to create a big policy. What it does is, it takes multiple reports and outputting them into PDFs and appending the PDFs with each other. This is working on my computer, offline and online (shared network).

The problem is that when it is on the shared network, an error pops out with AcroExch.App saying that ActiveX cannot create the object for other users. Note, this works on my computer, but not others. When I copy the database to the users computer, the button works correctly. We all use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and Access 2010.

    What is making this issue?

I am confused. You say it works for users if you copy the database to their computer. This is what should be done. Otherwise, how are they running the app - opening the db from what location?

We use Citrix, a virtual app accessed through a web browser. This application is where we put our database instead of the shared drive. I believe they use this for remote access.

Sorry, I guess saying it was a shared network was incorrect.

I am not a Citrix user, but there have been several posts over the years on the subject.
Here is a link that might be useful re Citrix generally, but I think you may need to talk to the person in charge of Citrix in your organization.
    Good luck.

Are you saying each user opens the same frontend file which is located on Citrix server?

And where is Adobe Acrobat installed - on each user computer or also on the Citrix server?

What is different about your situation from the other users?

All of your questions and inquiries had led me to find the solution. It seems that even though our computer and everything is the same, Citrix was not. It was not giving access to everyone the same applications. So even though we have Acrobat in our computer, in Citrix, they don't have access to Acrobat.

Thanks for the help and inquiries.
