Multiple users editing one file at once

Hi guys,



I have an Access database built for a hotline system. I want to put the file on an internal shared network so everyone can access the file. However, sometimes, when more than one person answers the phone at once, the file will be opened and edited by more than one user. I tried splitting the database and only shared the front end (including a form to input data) to the other users. However, when more than one person opened the front end file, there was still an error message popped up saying that another user was opening the file and all the edits might not be saved. There are only 10 people in the network so we don't want to purchase any other network. Is there anyway I can make it work for everyone in the network?

you DONT share the front end. you share the backend.
Every person gets their own copy of the front end. This way there are no conflicts.

Yes. I was an idiot. I shared and set up the front end for everyone's computer like you said and it worked perfectly fine.
