Background Problem on Multiple List Subform

I have this weird whitespace on an imbedded subform (multiple) that I cannot figure out how to change the color.

    See attached image.

    Hi -

If the white space is part of the subform, try changing the background colour of the subform detail section.

I have tried changing the background. Since it's an Multiple List Form, I have two colors (alternating), unfortunately the white continues below an actual item. If i change the colors of the alternating then it won't alternate colors anymore. Any other ideas?
