I am creating a database based on a fairly long survey. I have 167 columns and the file size is 1,056 KB. Most columns are combo boxes and I have created a few external tables to pull from, but I also just typed in the data in the lookup wizard for some of them. I need to add combo boxes to just 12 more columns, but it keeps giving me an error message that the property value is too large when I try to save. I've compacted and repaired several times. I looked into normalization, but I really can't see how that applies to my database because each entry will be a separate survey and there won't be duplicate information within a single response. Is there something I'm missing? Will it maybe save space if I use fewer tables to pull data from and instead just type in the data using the lookup wizard? I can't imagine I'd need much more space with just 12 more combo boxes. I'm new to Access so any help or tips are appreciated.
