Hello,
When I want to design a query in Design View I can select the tables in the Show Table Dialog Box, but then the tables seem 'empty', i.e. they don't display fields to select.
- Problem occurs on all MS Access files when they are on this computer. The same files work fine on another computer.
- Problem does not seem related to the version of Access (occurs on .mdb, .accdb and versions of Access 2003, 2007 and 2013) or the file type (.mdb or .accdb)
I use MS Access 2013 on Parralels 8/Windows 8. The software worked fine before, I recently installed Dragon Naturally Speaking 12 and software to manage a microphone (Olympus Device Manager).
- Database repair does not fix the problem.
- Migrating tables to a new file does not fix the problem.
- Upgrading from Office 2007 to Office 2013 does not fix the problem.
I can't see the fields in the 'Database Relationship' view either. However, the 'Create Query' Wizard works fine and in SQL View the information is displayed correctly. Also, when I run pre-existing queries (that worked in the past), I get correct results.
> How can I get to see the fields in the tables in Query Design View' again?
