Importing excel .csv with blank columns into Access calculated fields

I have an excel .csv file

T Name Qtr Day Month Sort XX.....
No Data Date no data no data no data no data remaining fields have data

My access table has all the same fields

Qtr, Day, Month, Sort are calculated fields.

When i try to import i get an error Unparsable Record for each of the fields that are Calculated fields in Access.

I'm not sure how to get around this??

Try importing the fields that are not calculated and not the fields that are. In other words, don't import Qtr, Day, Month, Sort.

How do i not import those fields? If i don't have them then the fields that do import seem to be shifted over to the left.

You haven't said how you're importing. One option would be linking to the csv and then running an append query, specifying the desired fields.

external Data, new data source, from file, text file. Append to existing table

How do you link? I tried something with the linked table manager, but could not get it to work

You should see the link option at the point you choose Append to existing table. You could also let it create a new table and append from there.

You might be having the same problem as myself, if you are using Chrome.
I am no longer to upload anything using Chrome. I have to use Firefox for any upload.
