How to mark a thread as solved

Please note that this feature is only available in on-topic Access Forums.

If your question has got a workable answer, please mark your thread as solved by using "Thread Tools -> Mark this thread as solved", see image below. This menu is a toggle, you can mark a solved thread as unsolved too.

Many threads have never been marked despite that they were obviously solved. To make this feature more useful, we have made a change: all participants of a thread can mark it as solved, but if you are not OP, please only use it when OP stated it clearly.

Where EXACTLY is this 'Solved' option? I'm damned if I can find it!

Can you see the screenshot in my first post? Please note the menu is only available in on-topic Access forums, you can't see it in this thread.

I CAN see the screenshot but still none the wiser as to how to find 'Thread Tools'

Correction, just found it - I thought it was available from within EACH entry, not just at the top of each thread!

    Thanks

Odd that it isn't available in Forum Support.

It's by design. We clean up the forum support section regularly, it's better to only keep threads that is helpful to other members.

I had trouble finding "thread tools" too. When I clicked on "add a tag" the thread tools appeared at the top of the thread. Seems like this should be available any time you are in a thread.

Yes, the "Thread tools" should always be available in a thread, you can't see it if you don't click "Add a tag"? "add a tag" and "thread tools" are completely unrelated.

Ok. A bit of extra info after I figured it out.
On mobile-site forum, thread tools not available so you need to request desktop site, and this logs you out(new session) .
So login on desktop version, otherwise you only get 'show printable version' from thread tools.

Also, that quicklink in the top bar "mark thread solved" could be renamed "how to mark thread solved"

I am not sure what the "Buick" forum is (this isn't an automobile site), but to post a new thread here, you first go to the forum that you want to post your new thread to (like the "Queries" forum), then click on the blue "Post New Thread" button that appears in the upper left above the thread title row.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
