    Question Table relationships....

    Hi all.

After quite some online reading, I now found myself quite confused.

I can now see the potential Access has and, as all things, when you know your way around it it;s quite cool.

Anyway, my question is, from what I have seen all tables relationships MUST have a field identical in at least the two tables the relationship has been established?

    Am I correct?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Kind regards,
    Albert

Yes. Its primary use is a parent/child relationship.
1 person can have many phone#s. (home, work, cell)

A common key field in each. ( here [PersonID] )
It prevents the user from deleting the parent record, and leaving all the child records as orphans, an no way to tell who the parent was.
