    Urgent help required ! :(

A database for hotel reservation transactions developed in

Microsoft Access with information about The President’s Inn in Cape May, New
Jersey. At the Inn, 10 rooms overlook side streets, 10 rooms have bay windows that
offer limited views of the ocean, and the remaining 10 rooms in the front of the hotel
face the ocean. Room rates are based on room choice, length of stay, and number of
guests per room. Room rates are the same for one to four guests. Fifth and sixth
guests must pay an additional $20 charge each per person per day. Guests staying
for seven days or more receive a 10 percent discount on their daily room rates.

The owners currently use a manual reservation and bookkeeping system, which has
caused many problems. Use the database to develop reports on average length of
stay, average visitors per room, base revenue per room (i.e., length of visit
multiplied by the daily rate), and strongest customer base. After answering these
questions write a brief report about the Inn’s current business situation and suggest
    future strategies..

    Please help me to proceed
    Thanks

If you need to build a db, determine data entities and relationships. Build tables accordingly.

Maybe this tutorial site will help http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/

When you have something that can be analyzed, post it if you want comments.

Reports are usually based on queries. Average calculations can be done with an aggregate (GROUP BY) Totals query. Access Help has info on building queries.

As June7 mentioned there are many good tutorials at RogersAccessLibrary.
You have a good description and I suggest you work through this tutorial, then try it with your own data.
The key is to get the tables and relationships designed to meet your requirements. Too many jump right in to Access details.
    Get the design right first.
Good luck with your project and welcome to the forum.

You looked at the links that were given and have no idea how to proceed?
Please explain this in simple terms so we can understand the issue.

    Why is this urgent?
    Why is it in Reports?
Do you have a data base?
If so, post a zipped copy of your Relationships.

Is this a class assignment? If you have no idea how to proceed then you need a new teacher and/or a new textbook. We can't teach an introductory course in relational database principles and Access functionality in a forum thread. You need an understanding of basics before anyone can help you.
