How to get fully qualified object name?

Why can't access show the fully qualified name of the object in the Property Sheet drop down box? This would really help in subform... subform... subform... objects. Access obviously knows since whatever I guess the name to be, Access knows it is wrong! I cannot find the place in help where object naming is described. The expression builder doesn't seem to always be right. Thanks for your help.
