Import Specs gone after splitting database

Can anyone tell me why you have to create 2 sets of import specs for the same one? When I save and name an import it shows up in the Save Imports screen, but, when I want to use that same spec in VBA code, it tells me it can't find it and I have to use the "Advanced" button in the import process to create one in that other window.
I just split my database (Access 2007) and selected to bring over my import specs, but it only brought over the first set which my code won't recognize. I have attached screenshots which will hopefully explain what I am running into.

If you're attempting to use VBA code to run something with an import/export spec in the version of access reflected in your user list you're out of luck. The last I read it was not possible to combine VBA code with import export specs as it was in all prior versions of Access. If you find out otherwise please let me know because I've had to work around this several times.
