Changing the name of a record source - it wont save...

I have changed the name of a record source. When I open the form I get a standard error msg: The record source "queryname" specified on this report does not exist.... Click the Properties button and then set the RecordSource property to an existing table or query.

I do that, and Access wont allow me to save the report. Clicking save does not work. The only way to close out of the report is disgard changes and click 'No' to the 'Do you want to save?' popup.



This also happens when I attempt to change the caption...go figure.

Can anyone help?

No - no changes can be saved.

Usually I'd try to recreate the query/form or report from scratch. But this one was designed by someone else, and I dont know how.

Any fix's? (Please, please, this is one of the key reports for our annual financials...)

maybe fiel mdb file is read only, or insufficient priviledge to write.

Never has been before. I am the only user of the database. If this is the case, how can I fix it/change it?
