Please use same date format as your computer's setting: mm/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yyyy, don't mix them.
1. Form won't REMEMBER the type-in value if you open it. But it will remember last value if you just change to design view and then change to form view.
2. In the query , Duration is a text. that's why you can not do calculation on it.
----I've changed the query, set Duration to a number field.
----I've changed the report, add summary of duration for each group and total. see the report for details.
3. your report was group by month because you set the group by month(maybe it's the default setting).
-----I change it to group by date, and if you don't want checkdate repeating, just remove the textbox.
4. 01/12/2010 to 21/12/2010 means from Jan 12,2010 to Dec 21, 2010
Weekend00, thanks for the reply. I am sure the issue is not about dateformat, because my windows settings is british and that's why i adjusted your code to dd/mm/yyyy. Also, the records of up to Dec 27 are showing OK, if the issue was mmddyy it would have thrown an error.
after the report is opened, change to report design view, check the filter in report properties. you will see what is there.
OK will do. Thanks, weekend.
