    Synchronize / merge data

    Hi,

I have 2 copies of the same database (Access 2007). They mostly have the same data in, but they both have some data that the other does not.

Is there a way of synchronizing / merging the records so that one of them at least is complete?

I can then delete the other one and network it properly.

Thank you for any help - it will save me loads of time

    Dave

if data can only be added, it's easy to compare, but if data is modified, you need to decide which one is newer.

OK I understand that - good point. Let's assume that data could only be added to each of the databases. how do you do it?

    Cheers

it may be as simple as importing all the tables (the relevant tables, that is) from one to the other, then running queries to complete the sets.
