    Math problem

I created a new query with nothing in it. no links, no nothing.

    I entered exp1: 13/243 and ran it.

    My result was 5.349794

Does everyone else get the same answer?

now do it on a calculator.

My answer is 0.05349794 This should be the correct answer.

anyone know what I am doing wrong in my query?

If you did not specify the format, then it is a percent. You will notice that 13/243 = 5.349794%

You must specify that you want it expressed as a decimal value for it to appear as 0.0539....

You can do this by going into design view for that query and changing the format of the field.

    Same problem wrong math

Is it changed in a query or in there report?

I have over 25 like this. They all calculate correctly in a query to 0.01xxx and then in the report I select percent. where it is displayed as 1.xx%.

I am trying to figure out why 3 of the 25 are already converted to % in the query. When they show up in the report as 100.0%

Is there somewhere in a query design where I select or don't select percent?
