Opening Database between 2007 and 2000

I design the database in 2007 and save it as a 2000 file format, no problems or issues in doing this. My question is, when you run a database in 2007 you have that little blue area above your form, or query, or table, showing you what it is and what name you have it saved as. Is there a way to remove this, or to tell it not to save, when I save the database as another format?
When I open the information in Access2000 it only shows up as a gray area and isn't an issue, just an eye sore.

Can you post a screen shot to show what you are talking about?

It is the big black box at the top of the screen, I am assuming it is doing this because in 2007 that is where the name of the form is that I am working on.

I have ac2007 and that does not happen. Maybe you need to post a sample zipped up db that demonstrates this issue. So your issue is with ac2000 and *not* ac2007?

yes, the issue is with 2000. do you need a zipped copy of the file saved as a 2000 file? or the original 2007 file?

I did not understand the issue properly. I do not have ac2000 so will not be able to properly assist. I thought the problem was with ac2007, which I do have. I could try it on ac2002 which I have but that may not yield anything useful. Sorry. Are you saying you didn't save this originally as an Access 2000 file format?

I created the file in acc2007, and saved it as an acc2000. But when I open the file in acc2000 it has the awful black grid at the top (like the screenshot). As I said it is not an issue, just an eye sore, and was curious if there was a way to remove it either during the save, or when I open the file in acc2000. I can send you the file and let you try it on acc2002 and see if it is an issue there as well. Your call there.

Go ahead and post the zipped up mdb and I'll give it a try in ac2002.

Here is the file that I saved as a acc2000 database. Let me know what your thoughts are.

In looking at the form in ac2007, does the form need the Header section opened as you have it? It looks like the header of the form is your issue in ac2000 but I'll try it in ac2002. Only rarely do I use the Header section of a Form.

No, I don't have a need for the Header to be there. Is there a way to remove it? That would solve the issue, if you can!
