Pass-Through Query or ADO, is there a way?

    Hello All,

I have to run a query against a DB2 table and join it to a local table. My dilemma is that the DB2 table has more than 255 columns some of which I need to return in my query results and these columns are not visible in Access.

The DB2 table is very large and my query has no parameters other than the join between the local table and DB2 table.

Is there an efficient way to perform this query via a pass-through, ADO, or any other mechanism in Access?
Writing the local table to DB2 is not an option....

Hello ajetrumpet, No, I have not received a solution yet on the other forum - I'm guessing that you're curious to know the answer as well. Let me know if you find one...

I've never done this kind of thing. just curious that can you get 255 columns in one time, then get another 255?

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
