Help with Adding Time Stamp to Contact

I am trying to add a time stamp so that every time a contact is made it records the time that it was made. however it is just showing the word BINARY instead of the time.



Any help woudl be appreciated.

In general the way to do this is have a field in the table; set it to be a date/time data type, select the format that you want. Then in the default value property - which is by default blank - put in: =Now() if you want time - or - =Date() if you just want date.
