    Carto

Please can you help I am trying to update reports on an access database I didn't create. The database holds statistical information which is summarised in a report each year. I have managed to successfully copy the existing query (2009-2010) and it now hold the information for 2010-2011 however when I try and copy and paste the the existing report (2009-2010) although in the design view it is picking up the new query the information displayed is still the old 2009-2010 statistics, would any one be able to help, thanks.

    Hi Carto,

    Welcome to the forum!

Can you post a sample of your database?

    Cheers,

The one thing you haven't yet shown is how the "report" is connected to the query. Although, it's hard to tell from just a snapshot.

In your stats1.doc you seem to have only connected a text box in the report to your query; that's not going to give you what you want.

Try selecting the "report" in design view, and look at the "Record Source".

    Cheers,

Thank you so much that was the problem the record source was still routing to a previous query.

Thanks very much for your help.
