    Aqtualization to the newest query

Hi, In my database table "Contacts" I entering the dates of visits. I would like that in another table, "the company" to update the box with the date of last visit. I can do an update query that will prescribe me the date from one table to another, but I do not know how to create a condition which gives me confidence that this is actually the freshest data available from several visits. Does anyone can help me?
    Best regards

You're having difficulty figuring out how to do it because it should not be done. It would be a normalization mistake to store what is in essence a calculated value. Why try to save what can be so easily queried from the contacts table? Why worry about whether the saved value is fresh?

First I have to say that not only my knowledge about databases is weak, but also my English is not good - this may create confusion. What I want.... . I need to have a history of visits, or another activities associated with people from many companies. But also very useful for me is fast information about last visit in a company. It is not important that this information I will have in table or query. I just wont to know that it is possible to obtain this information from my database and how to do it.

ok, I found some solution, but I don't know that is optimal. First I create summary query where I can list last visits in all companies, second I can use this result of this query in my actualization query to insert this data to my table "company". It's only one small difficulty, that I need to create few additional query. At the beginning I tried to find a solution within a single query. Thank you for your cooperation
