I need help. I have a field that I am trying to make a text field, but I dont know how to edit list & create a new imput mask for text. All I have to choose from is Numeric i.e. long date, medium time etc.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

First, you shouldn't cross post your questions - the moderators tend to get a little pissy about it.
I suggest you stop trying to format the field if you are using a text filter. Also, make sure the field in the table is the Text type. If you want to create a new mask use the record buttons at the bottom to create a new record and create away.
If you get an error when trying to save the mask, write it down.
If you need a screenshot, press your Print Screen key then open an image editor (even MSPaint will work) and paste. Try to save it as something other than a BMP.
sorry man, Im brand new to this forum, and fairly new to access. How do I mark as solved? or does it do it automatically? Thanks again. I kept makeing masks, but they werent showing up because the format was set as number. I changed it to text, and all of the masks I was creating showed up.
By the way is there a way to go & delete them off the list? or are those stuck like that? I try to keep it as clean as poss.
Here's the guide to marking topics as solved:

Deleting masks is a little more complicated:
- Open your "ACWZUSR12.ACCDU" file
- Mine is at C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Access
- Open the im_TblInputMask table
- Scroll to the bottom to find the newest entries
- Delete those you don't need anymore
- Be careful about deleting the preset masks - not sure how Access feels about losing those
