Question Can Query column headings be split into 2 lines?

I have a form with a sub-form based on a query. Some column headings are longer than the info in the column, e.g. a date column with the heading, "Experienced/Shadowed". I want to split this into 2 lines. Alternately if this is not possible, can I have the sub-form display without headings at all. I would do labels on the main form above the query to match the columns in the query. Thanks!

If you are just talking about the Label, you can make that narrower and it will move the 2nd word below first. You might need to add a space on each side of the "/" or play with it to make it like you want. It will make the header area taller. You could have 2 lines if you want, just move that 2nd field Shadowed below Experienced field in the detail section but that might look odd.
You can also do no heading in the subform, just don't use a header section and remove any labels to the fields, just show the data fields.

I presume the form in question is a datasheet view so I'll say no, you can't. Using labels would be the first thing I'd suggest but you will have to use a continuous form. You can wrap text in a label but only one line will show in a datasheet.

Only way is to use a continuous subform. A datasheet cannot spread the heading over two rows and you cannot hide the header row.

Other thought is to use a shorter heading e.g. Exp/Shad. If required you could include a heading explanation in the main form

Another is to use a listbox with headings displayed above - but does depend on what you are doing with the data

I would do labels on the main form above the query to match the columns
One of the benefits of a datasheet is to be able to change the width and order of the columns. If a user does this, where would your labels be then?

If you don't want them to do this, use a continuous form - it can be formatted to look like a datasheet.
