Adding data to tables using queries

    Hi all,

If I query a table and then add data to the query is the table the query is based off updated as well? I'm talking about a normal query not an append query or anything like that.

    Thanks,

You can generally edit as well as enter new data when in datasheet view of the results of the query and those additions/edits will be reflected in the underlying table. If you join multiple tables in your query, you may lose the ability to add/edit data in the datasheet view of the query because the query may become an un-updateable query.

    Thanks for the help,

I though that a query was completely seperate from table, but I guess they are actually still connected. That helps alot!

    Thanks again,
