report not in sequence of the input table which is sorted by LOT after doing record inserts

one report (Rpt2) with one input table (sheet1)
Records get added / inserted into sheet1 at the bottom of the table.
sheet1 is then sorted by LOT number


Rpt2 does not reflect the sort of sheet1, just the physical order with additions listed last
How do I make Rpt2 sorted by LOT?

I did Sort Filter group advance and advance with the report open but it displays the table SHEET1

This is an Access report using a linked worksheet? Apparently, sorting in sheet has no bearing on record order in report. Set record order with ORDER BY clause in query or report design properties.

Source sorting has NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER on Access reports.
You need to use the Report Sort option.
