Here is a list of my References
Here is a list of my References
I thought because it was checked off that it was already added. How do I add it? Clicking OK doesn't do anything.
If I click on the checkbox, I get the error below. Since it is already checked and I click OK and then run the Task, I still get the 31062 error.
Sorry but you've lost me. The reference I mentioned, Microsoft Office 12.0 Object Library, was not checked in your screenshot
Have you added it since?
Error 31602 appears to be specific to A2007 and does not exist in later versions
It may be that there is an issue preventing the code working in that version but I can't replicate it at the moment
Remember it was designed for A2010 or later
If testing an import file, try clicking modify external file path, specify the correct path for the file then click Execute Action.
Then click Run Task & Execute.
That allowed the task to run for me in A2007 though I then got error 2164 - you can't disable a control while it has the focus.
That's a version specific error to A2007 that is easily fixable if it works otherwise
It was checked when I sent the screen shot (2nd line down from my 3:43 post today - see above) and when I enter the path or even try to rename the Task, I get the 31602 error. It sounds like my A2007 version will not work with these new fixes. That's too bad as it would safe me lots of time each morning. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me. If, in the meantime, you know how to fix the 31602 error, that would be great.
Thanks a bunch
It's late on the UK side of the pond so I'll chime in in case this is timely.
2nd line down in the image of your list is not what you were told to set? That is Microsoft Access not Microsoft Office.

I don't know what post you sent at 03:43 as the times are displayed relative to the time zone for each person viewing the thread.
You probably mean the screenshot in post #17.
As @Micron said, you are confusing references. The one required is highlighted in the screenshot I gave in post #18.
I tested the app without that reference and got error #31602 in A2007. When I restored the reference, that error disappeared.
As mentioned in post #22, I then get error 2164 but that is easily fixed.
Version specific references such as this are inevitable as the app wasn't written for A2007
My apologies, I was looking at the wrong one. I do not have the Microsoft Office 12.0 Object Library listed in my options so how do I get it added to the list?
It doesn't show up when I click Browse unless it has a different name otherthan Microsoft Office 12.0 object Library

As @Welshgasman has indicated, you need to browse for MSO.dll which will be in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\ if you have 64-bit Windows or C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\ with 32-bit Windows
Thanks guys - the path to where those files are located really helped. I now have the same 6 as @Welshgasman but some of them look like different versions. With all of these installed, I still get the 31602 error. I feel bad for taking up your time so if you give up, I can live with the extra time it takes me to locate the tasks when I want to run them. Funny, some of them I use more often so I now how much page scrolling I need to do to find them.
