Hmm I did a double click procedure like you said for the vehicle double click and left the openclick() code you wrote just the way it was but its not autopopulating my vehicle lists assets either.. and the search bar is broken now. I'm sorry if I'm asking for alot but I need this for my job. There has to be an easier way to go about this, how does the contact list know to autopopulate their assets when you first open the asset tracking template? and how does the job site know to autopopulate when the code you wrote has no links or keywords pertaining to the job site list?

    Hi
This is why most developers do not use any of the Templates provided by Microsoft.

It is always best to use the template as a guide and then construct your own Data Input Forms.
You can PM me if you need further help.

    Hi Hamilton

For your info the Search Box was not working anyway. It did not have any code associated with it

    Hi Hamilton

I just downloaded your original copy of the database.

The Asset List that opens at startup has a Search Box - This is the Search that does not have any Code/Macros associated.

The Filters you are referring to is just that a List of Macros used to Filter data.

Which Form that you are using has the specific Search Box on?

    Hamilton,

Please tell us a little about yourself, your company and this project that is part of your job. It is always helpful for readers/responders to have some context to assist with comments/advice. Remember that all people here are unpaid volunteers who are offering their comments based on their understanding of your issue/opportunity.

In all forums, it is good netiquette to inform readers if you have posted the same or similar request in other forums. From experience we find that too many times people are spending time answering a post/thread that has been solved in another forum(s). That's exactly why you got the excelguru link to cross posting.

If you were to use the search bar on the original post, the filters work with it. If you were to search hammer, it'll return all hammer drills

I repeat "I downloaded the original database and the Search box does not have any Filter on the Search box"

I just redownloaded the original file that I sent you. I'm not sure why the search box doesn't have any filter on it but if you were to search an item, that item would be returned in the list.
